BT EAP / PEMP / EOAC works

A large part of the works the Electrical company are involved with is the upgrade of the PEMP alarm platform in larger BT telephone exchanges, and installation of a new EAP alarm platform for smaller exchanges. The alarm platforms facilitate remote off site monitoring and control of the power equipment, back up engines, Fire/Flood /Gas detection systems (FFGD) with the ability to remotely monitor and control the FAU (Fresh Air Unit) and AHU (Air Handling Unit) equipment inside the exchanges.

Work also encompassed MODBUS installation and cabling for the Adiabatic / Airsys Fresh air systems.

Another aspect of this work was called EOAC and involved the installation of monitoring sensors in the HOT and COLD equipment aisles in the Metronodes. This allowed automatic and remote off site monitoring and control of the Fresh air systems in the Metronodes.
