As part of the maintenance works on the Orange microcell contract I was tasked in responding to R.T.A incidents that involved damage to either the mast or equipment that formed part of the site. This would involve either repairing, re-securing or the removal of damaged equipment on site.
Following the report of an RTA, an initial assessment would be made with regard to the condition of the equipment, which would then escalate the appropriate response in regard to making the site safe until new equipment could be installed. Programmed work would then be re-scheduled, if necessary, to allow a response to the incident within 24 hours, however, depending on the location of the incident in the country, many incidents were attended to within 12 hours or less.
